TV vs. MTV
To be honest, I have barley watched any T.V. while being in college. It is weird to me because everyday when I got home from school, I would automatically just switch on the television. I literally think my roommate and I have watched maybe 2 shows together. Usually when we turn on the T.V., either MTV or E News is on. I have found myself usually watching either Jersey Shore or Keeping Up With the Kardashians. I know these two shows are very scripted and pretty much pointless. However, they are quite entertaining. I feel like the commercials during these shows are targeting young people, mostly college and high school students. They tend to set a very bad example, so I advise that people who are very influenced by others should not watch these shows. These T.V. programs can give out the wrong impression of how young people should act. Songs can also do the same thing. People should sit down and actually listen to some of the lyrics that are being played on the radio. Some of it is quite disturbing I must say. These two reality shows and many of the songs being played today can both serve as bad example for maturing teens.
