1983: Coalescence

1. What struck me to be most interesting is that I have heard both of these songs multiple times, but I never received the meaning the author was trying to show. Without watching the video, you do not get the full extent of the purpose of the song. The clothing, characters, and settings of the videos really help with showing this.
2. I believe Love Is a Battlefield gave the strongest message to me because it shows when women bond together in tough times when can stand up for our selves. The bad images towards women can be represented in a better way also.
3. "Waiting on the World to Change" by John Mayer is about people thinking that they cannot change or help the world to be a better place by themselves, so they are just waiting for the world to change on its on or by the next generation. It helped me to look more carefully for details about the videos since just looking at lyrics can change a the whole meaning of a song without the video.
