1.) I had heard both of these songs before but never really listened to the words or thought about the time period they take place in and when you do it actually has a big message about women being independent and stuff and I just thought it was pretty cool.
2.) I think "Love is a Battlefield" because it really has a strong message, it even starts off with her getting kicked out of the house and it talks about how bad guys can be to girls sometimes which is very true.
3.) 1.) My video Kids by MGMT has a lot of monsters in it and i think the monsters are symbolizing just worldly pitfalls. 2.) I think the mom being so oblivious to all this is a big point too because people so often are oblivious to whats going on around them because they are caught up in daily activities.
I agree people often times do not know what is happening around them.
