Myself as a Text

When I look more into my life, what sticks out to me the most is the importance of humor in it. When I think of myself as a text, I don’t think of just my outward appearance because that doesn’t really fully describe me. Like most girls on this campus I wear Nike shorts and a t-shirt to class, not because everyone else does, but it is what’s comfortable. This outfit I put on every morning says absolutely nothing about me and doesn’t set me apart from any other girl on this campus. No one would know anything about my personality if they were to just look at what I wear to class, because it sticks me in the same category as everyone else. If I were to imagine myself as a text, it would mostly be about how I go about life with a sense of humor. It is important to have humor in my everyday life in order for me to be happy. I am rarely in a bad mood, and when others are in bad moods I try to help cheer them up.

I never like to take things too seriously and even sometimes I am the one laughing at the absolute wrong moment. I love being the comedian in the room, and am at my best when my friends surround me and we joke back and forth. I like to lighten the mood in situations that don’t need to be as tense as they are. I'll crack a joke to break the tension. I think that I get a lot out of making others laugh. My family has a good sense of humor, especially my mom, so we tend to laugh all the time when we are together. I tend to click with people that have a good sense of humor, because I can relate to them. Also, some of my favorite movies and books are comedies. For example, I love The Hangover, and as many times as I watch it, it never seems to get old to me. I do take my life seriously, but I think it is important to strike a balance between being serious, and having some fun. The way I go about life is in an easy-going way, and every day I try to laugh as much as possible as well as make other people laugh too.
