Myself as a text
If I look at who I am I see that taking risks has shaped me to the person I am today. Instead of going to college I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2007. I was sent 8 hours away from anyone I knew and thrown into a world I did not understand. I took a risk and chose to be a machine gunner in the infantry knowing that it would put me in foreign countries fighting many different enemies. I didn't form friendships, I was given a group of brothers who went through more with me then any simple friend would be able to understand. My interests turned from playing soccer and football to guns and foreign cultures. I dress the way I do because I am used to wearing clothing that allows me to move quickly and efficiently or outside of school conceal a firearm. I cannot sit with my back to a doorway or have people standing behind me where I cannot see them. I am extremely laid back because of what I have been through and nothing will phase me anymore. I love to laugh and look at life in a humorous way. I love seeing other people happy and enjoying their lives because that is why I went through what I did.
