Befriending Barbie

One thing I did not know about Barbie is how many different kinds there were. I also did not know how popular Babie's were and knowing that all of the Barbie's sold could circle the earth seven times really surprised me. Before this essay I thought of Barbie's as just toys that little kids played with. I never thought of them as a hobbie or people collecting them. After the essay I realized that Barbie's could mean more than just toys to people and they can actually bring a lot of happiness. What I got out of this essay is that even if you think you feel strongely about something until you experience it you never really know how you could feel. I liked this essay because of all the different people the author talked too. In my opinion the most important part of the story is the ending because it shows that the authors attitude has actually changed. This essay will help me think as a writer to try and describe what I did and if it effected me.
